Welcome!

We are four Rowan University students exploring the art of rhetoric in storytelling and narrative this semester in How Writers Read. We will be reading four books to help us navigate a better understanding in rhetorical devices used within a text. We propose to read:

Slade House by David Mitchell,

Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn,

The Dead Zone by Stephen King,

Ghostwritten by David Mitchell,

and 1984 by George Orwell

in that order by the end of the semester. As we do this, we will produce four blog posts for each novel explaining our methodology in generating meaning from each text.
